Transfer Entry¶

A transfer entry¶
A transfer entry has 3 sections:
The source which is on the left. It contains the source material mode used to setup the bake.
The target which is on the right. It contains the target object and the target image or color attribute name and the option to transfer color and alpha.
The settings are shown when the gear icon on the right is pressed. It contains multiple settings to adjust the bake.
A transfer entry have the following properties:
An arrow in top-left corner to expand or hide the transfer entry
A label which can be edited on the top-left corner
A selected state on the right
All selected transfer entries will be processed.
Transfer mode¶
The transfer mode is a shortcut to access the Object Bake Settings Use Selected to Active property.
Target mode¶
The target mode can be changed in the Object Bake Settings.
There are 2 target modes:
- Images Textures
The source will be baked in each target material subentry which can have a unique target image or share a target image
- Color Attribute
The source will be baked in a color attribute
Note
Changing the source or target objects and adding or removing materials to a mesh object will clear all source and target options related to the mesh object registered in the transfer list. It is advised to create the necessary materials before creating a transfer entry in the transfer list.
Each source material subentry must have a defined source material mode.
If the target mode is Images Textures, the target material subentries can have no target images but at least a single target material subentry must have a target image.
If there are multiple target image slots in a transfer entry, a global target image slot will be shown and can be used to assign multiple target image slots with the same target image.
If there are unsaved changes in an image, the color space or alpha mode cannot be changed.
